“After spending the first twenty years of my life with my parents, brother, and sister, the moment arrived for me to take a step toward greater independence. In the summer of 2023, my parents saw a new future for themselves in Sweden and decided to move there. I, however, remained in the Netherlands, the country where I was born. This decision felt like the beginning of an exciting adventure—one I had to embark on alone. The start of my graduation project marked the perfect moment to begin my journey of self-discovery. In this transition, the theme ‘Los, searching for home’ became deeply intertwined with this phase of my life. As I physically distanced myself from familiar and comforting patterns, I was given the opportunity to find my own path.”
i shared my process in another post, but here you can see how I told my story of finding a home. If you’re interested, click the link at the bottom of the page. I used a movie, a photoshoot, and an exhibition to share my story.
The film serves as the central element of this project, as it effectively conveys the narrative. I used the photoshoot as a way to promote my story across various social media platforms. The exhibition offered me the opportunity to present my story to the public and share additional insights.
